Up until the point where Harima saw Tenma having an onigiri-lunch with Karasuma and was heartbroken, I was in support of the Harima x Tenma pairing only because I liked Harima. He may be a dimwit, but he's really a nice, socially awkward guy. After that episode, I started thinking "Oh forget about her, let her have the weird alien kid".

I think I like SR because I got what I expected from it. Well, most of it, haha.

Ah, Tohru- the supreme nice girl, from what I remember of her from the anime. Tenma doesn't stand a chance against anyone else, but as I mentioned earlier, I don't really care anymore, being in support of the Harima x Yakumo pairing:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-91544703757865962282009-07-10T12:20:05.924-05:002009-07-10T12:20:05.924-05:00Lol, why? I mean, I've seen Lucky Star, Hayate no Gotoku, and other equally goofy shows (and Hayate I just adore). But I still thought it was crap. I don't think it's wrong to want the heroines in the shows I watch to actually be worth the attention they're getting. When you put the Tenma's and the Riiko's (Absolute Boyfriend) up against the Tohru's (Fruits Basket) and the Kyoko's (Skip Beat); you're not even going to look twice at the shallow, selfish, or moronic girls.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17515890913645064808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-47947141281454038032009-07-10T09:34:37.903-05:002009-07-10T09:34:37.903-05:00@A20-man: Uh-oh, man, now you've done it, lol....@A20-man: Uh-oh, man, now you've done it, lol. Make that about um, 54, taking into account both seasons and the OVA. There was some closure at the end (In the OVA), if thats what you want, although not everyone agreed with it.

SR is fine if you weren't expecting anything serious. I took it as a 'ridiculously insane school romance-comedy' and that worked well. Yup, Tenma is a moron. How could anyone fall for her? I hoped that Harima would end up with Yakumo, but... blablabala, I could end up typing reams of pairings if I go on. Schtopppp.

For what it's worth, I've been reading the original Japanese manga, and it's certainly better than the anime, which just pales in comparison.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-22486311876093046602009-01-26T13:01:00.000-06:002009-01-26T13:01:00.000-06:00@Kris: I'll skim over it, lol. >.<@Kris: I'll skim over it, lol. >.<xJAYMANxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02355935274349122202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-55673359795217618982009-01-26T08:27:00.000-06:002009-01-26T08:27:00.000-06:00T_T finally a person thinks like me. That and I think it's hilarious, and the characters are super adorable. I caught a bit of it in an anime store and fell in love with it instantly, which is kind of rare for me.

Anyway, I'll probably review Moonphase soon. I don't think you should read that one, either. ^_^ Though I'll likely be a bit nicer since there were more things I liked.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17515890913645064808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-28223849421413725552009-01-24T19:00:00.000-06:002009-01-24T19:00:00.000-06:00@Kris: Oh, you're right, 26 episodes not 13! Since u won't see S2 or S3, the best episodes (I think) of "Rumble" were the all-night survival game within the school, and the school play where Harima plays Sleeping Beauty, lol. The two-episode S3 finally reveals Karasuma's condition and emotion, and gives a resolution to Harima's and Tenma's relationship.xJAYMANxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02355935274349122202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-66602572991898437832009-01-24T17:33:00.000-06:002009-01-24T17:33:00.000-06:00Yeah, but I didn't find them lovable, hilarious, O...Yeah, but I didn't find them lovable, hilarious, OR touching. :)
So it was pretty much a failure for me.

As for Azumanga being short...it's as long as any other normal anime at 26 episodes.Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17515890913645064808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1928088858958947560.post-78077018973168545642009-01-24T16:33:00.000-06:002009-01-24T16:33:00.000-06:00@Kris: Haha, true to your word. With or without a storytelling destination.

I loved "Azumanga" too (my Blog 021, max 4 of 5 stars for short season), but it was just too short, lol.xJAYMANxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02355935274349122202noreply@blogger.com
